I got to photograph this sweet in-home session near Coweta County, Georgia. My approach to sessions is always child/baby-led. One of my biggest tips for new parents when planning their newborn sessions is to feed the baby right before I get to their location. Usually baby is nice and full and maybe becomes a little sleepy, which helps get their details like toes, hands. Because, let’s be real, they don’t stay small forever.

As your Coweta newborn photographer, trusting the process helps. I know in the middle of your session, baby might cry, become fussy, or straight up not having it period, and that is OK. My goal is to capture your family JUST the way you are.

Another fun thing I’ve started to incorporate in sessions is handing parents a disposable camera. YES, you read that right. Where you just point and shoot, wind it up. And repeat. This Kodak single-use camera is available at your local CVS! A little pricy, you can always order it online HERE. I’ve noticed it helps “breaking the ice” because I get it, being in front of the camera is scary. Straight up AWARD. By doing this, you take pretty frames of what’s in front of you, seeing life through your eyes, too. Such a beautiful thing.
